Down the rabbit hole

Okay, we saw Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and I can't quite identify how I feel about it. The film was what you would expect from Burton, and frankly his artistic view didn't meet my expectations for this new film. I got the direction he was taking the characters and the plot in, it just didn't do it for me.  The Disney original had a more dark and yet haunting feel, Burton's version takes it in another direction, rightly so as it needed developing and adaptation to a more modern feel. However, I don't know why but I feel as though it lacks a certain something - beautiful as it is. There was too much changed and yet it was almost the same. The characters were gloriously crazy...I was more concerned with the styling of the movie - loved it! I'll try not to ruin it for those who haven't seen it Mia W's Alice had dresses that I have dreamt of having I had a few Deja vú moments!

All in all it was good time so I would still encourage you to go and see it then let me know what your views. Here is what I had on for the evening, Tea party included.
